Enticing India Golden Triangle ~ India
9 days 10 nights

India's Golden Triangle has long held a fascination for travellers to the ancient land, as it provides a classic and unforgettable introduction to the country and its charms.

Delhi - the Metropolitan city - Old Delhi an historical legacy for the city. For centuries it has attracted rulers, invaders, businessmen, poets and painters and has seen empires rise and fall.

The Qutab Minar tower of victory - India Gate which commemorates those Indian soldiers who dies during WWI - and the Lotus Temple will all imbue you with a sense of wonder at the ingenuity of this colourful country.

The cuisine is packed full of taste and the smell of the many spices influenced by style and culture. You will however still find international cuisine like Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai and Italian.

Agra is ancient to the core. Famous for being the home to the Taj Mahal – one of the 7 Wonders of the World – the colour and artistry is nothing short of inspiring. Itmad-Ud-DAulah's Tomb as an example is inlaid with semi- precious gems and shows a strong Persian influence. Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar precedes the Taj Mahal by nearly a century and is a testament to the architectural prowess of its time.

The triangle is complete with Jaipur - the 'Pink City' - so named because of the colour of the sandstone of the region used in construction. The ancient forts of Nahargarh, Amber, Jaigarh and Moti Doongari each seem filled with a sense of romance. If you close your eyes you can almost see and feel the Maharajas and their Queens holding tea parties and lavish dinners in a bygone era. Romance is alive and well in Jaipur.
